Book an appointment with the nearest NDLS office to apply for a Learner Permit. Remember to take your theoretical exam certificate, D501 medical report form and PSC with you.
Once you have received your provisional driving license by mail, this is the best time to set a date for your driving test. You should do it on the MyRoadSafety website, you can log in there using the MyGovID portal. Remember to set a date for the practical exam in consultation with your instructor, who must check whether the truck is free for the exam on a given day.

After passing the practical exam, you should go to the doctor again with the medical form D501. Then take the completed form, the practical exam certificate and the PSC card to the appointment to the NDLS office. When applying for a full category C driving license, you may also submit a second provisional license application for a category C+E driving license. It is not necessary to re-pass the theory test, and after obtaining a provisional driving license for category C+E, you can go straight to point number 5.
